About us

Effluz was born from the experiences we had as Panamanian parents: several years of marriage, three miscarriages, two of them abroad, and then the birth of our twins, Camila and Gael. They are the inspiration for everything, born at six months gestation, or 26 weeks pregnant.

And yes, as you can imagine it was stressful, beautiful and a very strong experience since they weighed 2 pounds at birth, as you can see here:

They, our family and friends were the strength we needed to move forward.

Going through this situation definitely changes your life and gives you a new perspective on what truly matters and how you want to live your life. It was important to us that our children have what they needed to survive and have a good quality of life. This was truly difficult at times, as in Panama it was difficult to find clothing of the right size, specialized pillows, medications, and other necessary products for premature babies and twins. This was what truly shaped the experience: not being able to find anything nearby and quickly, because with premature babies, every day is a battle, and there's no time to waste.

In 2016 we opened our physical store in Paitilla, it looked like this:

Our store was designed with love and our personal experiences to provide you and your babies with the warmth and understanding that parents of premature babies and twins so desperately need. Caring for two babies at the same time is another difficult situation to navigate without the right tools. That's why at Effluz, we have products we've tested at home with our own children and that we know work. When you have twins, it's not about buying more than you need; it's about knowing what and how much to buy.

In addition to that, we also have products for healthy full-term babies, infants, children, and parents. We specialize not only in premature baby clothing and twin products.

A very important point in our journey with premature babies and twins was the lack of informative talks like those given to families of full-term babies. That's why we have a space for talks and workshops on these topics. We know that having two babies at the same time is very wonderful, but also difficult, so our first piece of advice is to enjoy every moment as a family and take things slowly.

Coming home every day and seeing two miracles really makes you wake up wanting to make a difference in the world.

Then, in 2018, we moved to a house in a commercial area in El Dorado and finally decided to be an online store to spend more time with our family. Just a few months later, the pandemic began, so we saw that it was a good decision to go online, which doesn't mean less work. We promise that we will do our best to provide you with functional products and services for your lives.

In 2022 we decided to change our image and after months of work we finally relaunched Effluz in 2023.

We are the official distributors of the Roshambo brand of earrings for Panama and are constantly looking for new products and services.
