The truth is that before getting pregnant with your first child, hardly anyone is capable of telling you that not everything always goes well and that sometimes it is difficult to get pregnant and that no matter how much love they give you and take care of you and your baby, sometimes the pregnancy does not go to the end. It's not being negative, it's just that no one really talks about this reality that many women experience. Talking about this would help raise awareness to go to pregnancy checkups and prevent bad scenarios for you and your baby.
In 2012 we decided it was time to have the famous first visit to the doctor to see that everything is fine and well to our surprise they told us that it was not going to be easy, due to having polycystic ovaries and hypothyroidism.
We thought: "Well, with the medication for the cysts and the thyroid everything should work fine", and that I would get pregnant fast. Well, I tell you that after a year nothing worked, so we started a treatment to stimulate ovulation (it was not in vitro) and after 4 attempts I finally got pregnant. I don't know, you can imagine the joy of finding out that in 2013 we were finally going to be parents. To our surprise, we later found out that she also had cervical incompetence.
